Wat wordt er wél geteld?
Om te zien of de site gebruikt wordt, houdt de eigen server een eenvoudige, anonieme telling bij. Per paginabezoek wordt bewaard: de opgevraagde pagina, de verwijzende website (bijvoorbeeld dat je via een forum binnenkwam), het land, het soort apparaat, de browser, hoe lang de pagina open stond en hoe ver er gescrold is. Ook zoekopdrachten die je in het logboek doet worden geteld, zodat duidelijk wordt waar bezoekers naar zoeken.
Wat wordt er níet bewaard?
Er wordt geen IP-adres opgeslagen en er komt geen identificatie in je browser te staan. Om twee bezoeken van dezelfde persoon op één dag niet dubbel te tellen, maakt de server een korte onomkeerbare code uit je IP-adres, je browserkenmerken en een geheim getal dat elke nacht wordt vervangen. Zodra dat getal vervangen is, kan niemand — ook de sitebeheerder niet — die code nog aan iemand koppelen. Er is dus geen profiel, geen herkenning over dagen heen en geen doorverkoop van gegevens.
Voorkeuren in je browser
Kies je zelf een taal, een thema of rustigere animaties, dan onthoudt je browser dat lokaal (via localStorage). Die informatie blijft op je eigen apparaat en wordt nooit naar de server gestuurd. Wis je je browsergegevens, dan is de keuze weg.
Do Not Track
Staat “Do Not Track” aan in je browser, dan wordt er helemaal niets geteld.
Bewaartermijn
De ruwe tellingen worden na 400 dagen automatisch verwijderd. Daarna blijven alleen samengevatte dagtotalen over, waarin geen enkel individueel bezoek meer te herkennen is.
Contactformulier
Vul je het contactformulier in, dan worden je naam, e-mailadres en bericht doorgestuurd naar de beheerder en bewaard zolang dat nodig is om je vraag te beantwoorden. Die gegevens worden nergens anders voor gebruikt.

Gebruik het contactformulier. Een beveiligingsprobleem melden kan via security.txt.
In short

What is counted?
To see whether the site is being used, the server keeps a simple anonymous count. Per page view it stores: the page requested, the referring website (for example, that you arrived via a forum), the country, the type of device, the browser, how long the page stayed open and how far it was scrolled. Searches you run in the logbook are counted too, so it is clear what visitors are looking for.
What is not stored?
No IP address is stored and no identifier is placed in your browser. To avoid counting the same person twice on one day, the server derives a short irreversible code from your IP address, your browser characteristics and a secret number that is replaced every night. Once that number is replaced, nobody — including the site owner — can link the code back to anyone. There is no profile, no recognition across days and no sale of data.
Preferences in your browser
If you pick a language, a theme or calmer animations, your browser remembers that locally (localStorage). That information stays on your own device and is never sent to the server. Clear your browser data and the choice is gone.
Do Not Track
If “Do Not Track” is enabled in your browser, nothing at all is counted.
Retention
Raw counts are deleted automatically after 400 days. After that only summarised daily totals remain, in which no individual visit can be recognised.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are forwarded to the site owner and kept for as long as needed to answer your question. They are not used for anything else.
